Central Texas drowning victim identified

Authorities Monday identified a man who drowned after falling from a float at Temple Lake Park on Lake Belton as Virgil Robinson, 26.
Robinson was a Fort Hood soldier, authorities said.
Searchers found his body Sunday evening after a 90-minute search.
Witnesses told authorities Robinson was on an inflatable float that drift from shore.
As he attempted to paddle back, authorities said, he fell off and disappeared under the water.
Police were notified just before 5 p.m. Sunday and Robinson’s body was found at around 6:30 p.m.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Temple Police, Texas Parks & Wildlife Game Wardens, Bell County Sheriff's Office, US Army Corps of Engineers, Temple Fire & Rescue, Morgan's Point Resort Fire Department, Morgan's Point Resort Police Department, and Temple EMS responded.
