DPS identifies victim of deadly Central Texas crash

The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified a man who died in a head-on crash Friday evening in Coryell County as Lorenzo Wilson, Jr., 26, of Killeen
The two vehicles collided head-on at around 5:30 p.m. Friday on FM 116 near Bratton Road during a rainstorm at around 5:30 p.m. while it was raining.
Wilson was southbound in a 2007 Buick sedan when he lost control of the car on the wet road and crossed into the path of a northbound 2017 GMC pickup.
Wilson died at the scene.
The driver of the pickup, William Thompson, 49, of Copperas Cove, was taken to Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.
Information about his injuries and condition wasn’t available.
