Deputies arrest man after 14-mile Central Texas chase

WACO, Texas One man faces charges accused of leading a McLennan County deputy on a chase for nearly 14 miles Thursday night.

Luis Padron, Jr. 36, was booked into the McLennan County Jail facing charges of evading arrest and felon in possession of a firearm.

A deputy was trying to pull over someone driving a black Chevy sedan for speeding on I-35 near West around 10 p.m.

The driver was headed south and was eventually caught in the 400 block of Hatton in Waco.
