Deputies seize drugs, pot, 29 guns and cash in raid on area home

Bell County deputies seized drugs, marijuana, 29 firearms about $3,800 in cash and made one arrest in a raid Monday on a home in the 100 block of Fort Donelson Road just west of Westcliff Park on Lake Belton, authorities announced Wednesday.
Terrell Andree Koontz, 37, of Killeen, remained in the Bell County Jail on Wednesday pending a review of charges by the Bell County District Attorney’s Office.
Other arrests are possible, the Bell County Sheriff’s Department said in a press release.
Deputies seized about 2,800 tablets of suspected Ecstasy, 3,500 tablets of suspected Xanax, about seven pounds of marijuana, unspecified quantities of other drugs including cocaine, the cannabinoid THCV, the designer drug Ethylone and psilocybin mushrooms, the sheriff’s department said.
The drugs have a street value of about $41,000, the sheriff’s department said.
The raid stemmed from an investigation into the distribution of large quantities of Ecstasy and other drugs in the county, the sheriff’s department said.
The raid involved officers from the Bell County Organized Crime Unit, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, the sheriff's department and the Harker Heights Police Department.
