Police renewed their appeal for help from the public Tuesday in the search for a Waco woman who disappeared four days before Christmas.

Stephanie Torres, 42, was last seen on Dec. 21 leaving her home in the 700 block of Rusk Street.

“Detectives working the case have hit a wall and have not received any helpful information on her whereabouts,” Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said Tuesday.

She left her wallet and cellphone behind, Swanton said.

"(Her) family believes she was intoxicated and suicidal when she left,"

he said.

She may be driving a bluish-gray 2006 Kia.

“We believe Ms. Torres was dating a tall, thin, black male named Bruce. Bruce has gray hair and rides a bike around East Waco. It would be helpful if we could obtain information on Bruce as well,” Swanton said.

Special Crimes Unit investigators are asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to call Detective Thompson at (254) 750-7500.
