Assault allegations against former Baylor player Devin Chafin were made public on Tuesday in a national report, but Chafin, in an exclusive interview with KWTX Sports, says those allegations are not true.

Former ESPN reporter Joe Schad posted to his Facebook page that former Baylor student Dolores Lozano will file a Title IX lawsuit against Baylor, claiming she was attacked several times by former Baylor running back Devin Chafin, and that coaches Art Briles and Jeff Lebby knew about the incidents, but didn't take sufficient action.

In the Facebook post, Schad says the lawsuit will allege Chafin slapped, kicked, and choked Lozano in March of 2014.

The suit will allege he then grabbed her and slammed her into a vehicle, and then into the ground in two separate incidents in April 2014, Schad says.

Chafin says any accusations of him hitting, kicking, slapping, or slamming her against a wall are false.

Chafin says in April 2014 she started fighting with him and he grabbed her to restrain her.

Waco Police say Lozano reported to them in April 2014 that she was grabbed by Chafin, and her arm was slammed into a car door.

They say she also reported that she was choked and slammed into the ground in March 2014, but that she had not told anyone about that incident.

Police say Lozano refused a protective order and didn't let officers take any pictures of bruises on her arm.

She then stopped cooperating with the investigation, so no further action was ever taken.

Chafin says he spoke to assistant coach Jeff Lebby about the incident.

He says Lebby told him he shouldn't have laid his hands on Lozano, and punished him by giving him extra work with weights in workouts.

Chafin says to his knowledge Briles was never told about the incident.

A call to Lozano's attorney Tuesday was not returned.
