WACO, Texas (KWTX) One of the main entrances to Cameron Park is reopen after being closed because of a downed tree.

The Waco Police Department blocked off University Parks at Washington St. early Wednesday morning after part of the tree fell, blocking the roadway in front of the Veteran's Memorial.

The weather was clear at the time.

An officer who responded to the scene waited for the street to be cleared.

One lane of the two-lane street had reopened by 3:10 a.m. after the tree was partially cleared from the roadway and blocked off by cones.
