Police Monday identified a man who died when his car slammed into and ended up underneath an 18-wheeler after running a red light at a local intersection in Hewitt as William Roy Dorrough, 85, of Mansfield.
Dorrough ran a red light at the intersection of the southbound Interstate access road and Sun Valley Boulevard and his Dodge Challenger slammed into the 18-wheeler, which was headed toward Hewitt on Sun Valley, police said.
The driver of the 18-wheeler, who was uninjured, called 911 at around 8:20 a.m. Saturday.
A crash reconstruction team is investigating.
