Driver flown to local hospital after 18-wheeler crash on rural road
An 18-wheeler driver who was seriously injured in a crash early Tuesday afternoon on a rural road in Falls County was flown to an area hospital in critical condition.
The one-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of FM 1771 and CR 249 north of Reagan, Falls County Sheriff Ricky Scaman said.
The driver evidently over-corrected after the 18-wheeler veered into the oncoming lane and the rig overturned.
The driver, who was not immediately identified, was ejected, Scaman said.
The 18-wheeler, which was hauling dirt, ended up on its side and appeared to be heavily damaged.
Further details weren’t immediately available.
