One person died and another was injured early Monday in a two-vehicle crash on a rural Hill County road.

Department of Public Safety troopers responded at around 6:20 a.m. Monday to the crash on FM 933 in Blum.

Whitney Morgan, 24, of Joshua, died at the scene after she failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of her Nissan SUV, which crossed into the southbound lane and collided with a southbound pickup, DPS Sgt. Ryan Howard said.

The driver of the pickup, whose name was not released, was taken to Texas Health Haris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.
