KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) A surveillance photo of a car led to an arrest in the robbery of a Killeen bakery during which an employee was attacked.
Roosevelt Jones IV, 21, was in the Bell County Jail Friday.
Bond had not been set, according to online records.
Officers responded at around 7:45 a.m. Wednesday to the Sweet Eats Bakery in the 1000 block of West Jasper Drive.
The victim told police a man wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt walked in, demanded money, attacked her, pulled out a black gun and told her he would shoot her if she moved, authorities said.
He escaped with a red bank bag containing about $200 and two checks and also took the woman’s cellphone.
The 54-year-old woman was taken to Scott & White Medical Center.
Police said her injuries weren’t life-threatening.
A surveillance camera captured an image of a green Pontiac G6 in the area before the robbery and an officer later spotted the vehicle and followed the driver until the car stopped in the 800 block of Evergreen Drive in Killeen.
Investigators received permission from a woman who lived with the driver to search the residence and recovered a red bank bag and the victim’s cellphone, a revolver and a .22 caliber gun.
