Sixteen-year-old Seth Cross is still in the hospital after being struck in the head by gunfire while visiting a friend's house.
In a phone interview Friday his grandfather said he is maintaining but not yet breathing on his own.
The family is staying at the Baylor Scott & White Hospital, by his side, hoping he is strong enough to pull through.
"He's not yet showing signs of recovery as far as brain activity. He's still on the ventilator, in intensive care and we're all praying for a miracle," says his grandfather Keith Miles.
Police say the shooting stemmed from neighborhood beef and Seth was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
His grandfather adds that the family is glad that all four suspects involved are now behind bars.
