A late-night garage fire displaced two Temple residents.
Temple firefighters responded at around 9:30 p.m. to a home in the 1700 block of Southern Draw Drive where they found flames and smoke coming from the attached garage with a car inside.
One occupant was home, but escaped safely.
Firefighters found a leaking car fuel tank, but the cause of the fire is still to be determined.
The fire destroyed the vehicle and the garage and damaged the home’s attic.
The preliminary loss is estimated to be $75,000.
The American Red Cross is working with the family.
No one was hurt.
