Fire at local apartment complex displaces more than a dozen

A fire at an apartment complex in Killeen left more than a dozen tenants without a place to stay, fire officials said.
The fire at the Summerlyn Apartments erupted at about 4:30 p.m. It damaged eight units.
The Red Cross is assisting about ten to 15 residents displaced by the fire.
Emergency crews treated one person for smoke inhalation.
The Killeen Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
The complex is located at 4101 E. Rancier Avenue.
