DENISON, Texas (KXII) A fire destroyed a business Wednesday morning in downtown Denison.

Officials say the fire started at Luxor Nail and Spa in the 300 block of West Main St in Denison at around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The building collapsed as it burned just after 11 a.m.

Fire officials closed off Main Street between Rusk Avenue and Burnette Avenue.

Power was shut off to the entire block of 300 West Main as crews worked to put out the fire.

Fire departments from Sherman, Calera, Durant and North Texas Regional Airport helped battle the flames.

Officials evacuated every building on the north side of Main Street in the 300 block.

St. Luke's Day School, a preschool in the 400 block of West Main Street, was evacuated because winds were carrying smoke though the area.

As of 12:20 p.m. officials said the fire was out.

Crews were still working to take care of a few hot spots.

Fire officials say no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
