Mexia: Gas station catches on fire

Officials say a local gas station caught fire Saturday night.
According to City Manager Eric Garretty the Valero gas station on 1000 E. Milam Street reported a fire around 7:30 p.m.
Garretty says the Mexia Fire Department initially responded and evacuated the two employees inside.
The fire broke out in the attic and spread from there.
The fire was extinguished in the early hours of Sunday morning.
No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
