Former interim Baylor football coach Jim Grobe and Grammy-nominated Christian Rocker David Crowder paired up to tee off at the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Challenge in Atlanta.

The competition Tuesday featured pairings that include a university head coach and an alum competing in a scramble format against other university teams from around the country.

Grobe and Crowder placed sixth at 6-under and won $40,000 in scholarship and charity, just behind Alabama's Nick Saban and his partner.

Crowder shared a group picture of the competitors with his nearly 500,000 twitter followers who may have been surprised to see the Christian rocker on the links.

“You are seeing this correctly, that is me behind Coach Saban,” he posted.

Another famous Baylor graduate took part in the Twitter fun with the Baylor pair.

Chip Gaines tweeted "Crowder…I sure hope you brought your extendable ball retriever."

Ole Miss won the competition at 11-under taking home $100,000.

The event will be broadcast on ESPN later in the year.
