Fort Hood: Army identifies soldier who died from gunshot wound

Fort Hood officials Wednesday identified a soldier who died of a gunshot wound Saturday in Killeen as Pvt. Nathan Joshua Berg, 20, of Bellevue, Neb.

Killeen police are investigating, Fort Hood said in a press release Wednesday.

No further details were released.

Berg joined the army in January 2015 and was assigned this month to the Reception Detachment, United States Army Garrison, Fort Hood.
