Fort Hood: Soldier dies of injuries from traffic accident

Fort Hood Tuesday identified a soldier who died over the weekend of injuries from a traffic crash in Georgetown as Sgt. Dougal E. Mitchell, 32, of Palmdale, Calif.
Mitchell, who joined the Army in September 2002, deployed to the United Arab Emirates from October 2009 to July 2010, to Kuwait from May 2012 to December 2012, April 2014 to May 2014 and from October 2014 to December 2014, and to Iraq from June 2014 to October 2014.
He had been assigned to Fort Hood’s 215th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, since April 2015.
