Fort Hood: West Point grad found unresponsive in residence later dies

Fort Hood Friday identified a 1st Cavalry Division second lieutenant who died shortly after he was found unresponsive in his residence as Andrew J. Hunt, 23 of Bexar County.
Hunt was found unresponsive at around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and was pronounced dead at 9 p.m. at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.
No further details were released.
Hunt received an armor assignment after graduating from the U.S. Military Academy in May 2015.
He was assigned to the 1st Cavalry Division’s 6th Battalion, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team.
The death is under investigation, Fort Hood said Friday.
