A Fort Hood soldier charged with sexual assault in an incident in March involving a teenage girl remained in the Bell County Jail Thursday, where he’s held in lieu of $85,000 bond.
The charge against Matthew David Conner, 21, stems from what Belton police spokeswoman Candice Griffin said was a pre-arranged meeting with the 18-year-old victim on March 10 at the Lake Belton dam.
Fort Hood military police took Conner into custody.
He was booked into the Bell County Jail on Tuesday.
