FRANKLIN, Tex. (KBTX) - Some Frankin residents will remember this day as a day their lives got flipped upside down, others like Taylor and David Ray will have a unique memory of the day.
The couple was set to get married Saturday afternoon, while they were setting up for the wedding the tornado hit.
Their wedding location, the Franklin fire station became one of the command posts and the groom, a Franklin police officer, had to jump into action.
“When I got told I got to go out, I took off I didn’t question it I knew what was going on and that’s more important," said xxxx. "We can postpone this for just a little while I got to go out and make sure everyone’s alive and safe.”
The wedding was only postponed for about 30 minutes, but shortly after they said "I do" David headed back out to help the city.
