TEMPLE, Texas (KWTX) A memorial bike ride was held for Jenna Scott and Michael Swearingin Saturday morning in Temple, at the Horny Toad Harley Davidson.

Those who rode in the event donated to the non-profit "Priceless Beginnings" which was created in Michael and Jenna's memory.

"This gives us something positive to focus on," says Jenna's father Jonathan Scott.

"We are still grieving of course but this is part of that process to help us get through it," says Scott.

In January, Michael and Jenna's bodies were found in Oklahoma.

Jenna Scott's ex-boyfriend, Cedric Marks, and Marks' girlfriend, Maya Maxwell, are both facing capital murder charges.

"This keeps Michael and Jenna alive and their death wasn’t in vain," says Michael's mother Debbie Harrison.

In addition to the ride, food and several items were raffled off, with all proceeds going towards "Priceless Beginnings."

The charity's goal is to raise money for children who are going through domestic violence.
