Davie Dauzat, 23, who’s accused of beheading his wife and putting her head in a refrigerator was indicted Wednesday for murder.
The McLennan County Grand Jury handed up the indictment late Wednesday morning.
Natasha Ellen Dauzat, 21, who was found beheaded on Aug. 25 in a mobile home at a trailer park in the 4300 block of Concord Road in Bellmead, died of “sharp force injuries including decapitation,” according to a preliminary autopsy report.
The woman was decapitated and her head was placed in the refrigerator, a source close to the investigation has confirmed.
Davie Dauzat remains in the McLennan County Jail where he was ordered held on a $500,000 bond.
Natasha Dauzat attended La Vega schools, according to residents who said they knew her.
She and her husband had just recently moved back from Louisiana, they said.
