Harker Heights: Man shot in the leg by unidentified person

Harker Heights police were called out to the 300 block of Illinois Drive Friday night where they found a man lying face up bleeding from a gunshot wound to his leg on the sidewalk.
The man told police he was returning home from shopping, and after entering the home was shot in the leg by an unidentified person in the residence.
The man was taken to Scott & White Medical Center where he is being treated for the gunshot wound to his leg.
The investigation is ongoing.
