HEWITT, Texas (KWTX) "Friday Night Lights" was a little more fun this Friday in Hewitt for a group of local police officers.

Pro football Hall of Famer Deion Sanders posed to take a picture with a group of police officers from Hewitt, Lorena, and Lacy Lakeview at Midway Panther Stadium during the 2017 TAPPS State Football Championship game Friday night.

The officers were working security at the game between Trinity Christian-Cedar Hill High School and Regents School of Austin.

Sanders is the offensive coordinator at Trinity Christian-Cedar Hill, which won the game 62-30.

His freshman son, Shedeur Sanders, is the school’s quarterback.

The Trinity Tigers have also won TAPPS State Championships in 1991, 1993, 1994, and in 2015, according to the school’s website.
