WACO, Texas (KWTX) Both the northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 35 will be closed overnight on Wednesday and again on Thursday in Waco as crews set beams for the new Forrest Street bridge on the north side of the city.
Closures are scheduled from 7 p.m. Wednesday until 7 a.m. Thursday and from 7 p.m. Thursday until 7 a.m. Friday weather permitting.
Northbound motorists will be directed off the highway at Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard and back onto the interstate at the first available onramp after Forrest Street.
Southbound motorists will be directed off the highway at a temporary exit near elm Avenue and will reenter the interstate at University Parks Drive.
Motorists may also use Loop 340 to avoid the construction area.
