Police have made an arrest after an armed man whose face was covered robbed a Killeen convenience store on Monday.

Joshua Aaron Bishop, 22, was in the Bell County Jail Friday evening charged with aggravated robbery and failure to identify.

His bonds total $105,000.

The clerk activated an alarm just after 6 p.m. Monday at the Mickey’s store in the 4300 block of Stan Schlueter Loop.

The clerk told officers a man who was about 5-foot 8 with a slender build, and was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, entered the business, displayed a weapon, demanded money and escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Bishop was identified as a suspect while officers were at the scene of a standoff that started after another man led officers on a chase.

Bishop was charged on Thursday.
