KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Hundreds of active military members, veterans and family members show up at this year’s Central Texas College expo event.
Representatives of nearly 30 organization provided information for veterans on education benefits, health care services, counseling and more.
Organizers say there are more than 5,000 active-duty military members enrolled at the college.
Many don’t know what services are available to them.
“We help veterans with disabilities and various other programs that help veterans get better in the community and we focus their energy to turning it to civilian workforce,” says CTC Veteran Services Coordinator, Terry Caston.
Nonprofit and veteran organizations also took part.
