A Killeen man caught with a bag of suspected methamphetamine in his shoe after a traffic stop remains jailed in lieu of $50,000 bond.
Jeffrey James Clark, 60, was in the Bell County Jail Monday charged with possession of a controlled substance over 4 grams, but less than 200 grams.
His bond is set at $50,000.
He was arrested after a traffic stop on June 12 at the intersection of North 10th Street and Parmer Avenue.
Clark was a passenger in an older model truck whose driver was arrested for driving without a valid license.
During a search of the truck, officers found a Baggie containing suspected methamphetamine and also arrested Clark, who told them “he had additional narcotics on his person,” which led to the discovery of a bag containing 6.9 grams of methamphetamine in his shoe.
“Clark admitted the drugs found in his shoe and the truck belonged to him.”
