A Killeen police officer and three other people were taken to a local hospital Sunday after a crash involving the officer’s patrol unit and a passenger car.

The accident happened at around 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Stan Schlueter Loop and Trimmier Road as the officer responded to a call with his unit’s lights and siren activated, police said.

The officer was westbound on Stan Schlueter when his patrol unit collided with a Ford passenger car that was southbound on Trimmiier.

The officer was taken to Seton Medical Center Harker Heights.

Two adults and a child were in the passenger car.

They were all taken to Metroplex Hospital in Killeen.

They were treated and then were later released.

Both vehicles were heavily damaged.

The officer, the adults and the child were all in stable condition, police said.

No further details were released.
