KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) Killeen ISD Superintendent John Craft is proposing a $98 million makeover for Killeen High School.

Craft presented the proposal to the Killeen School Board Tuesday night.

The proposed project would involve “large areas of new construction and a complete renovation,” the district said in a press release Wednesday.

The makeover would be funded with $75 million from the district’s bond program and an additional $23 million from the district’s regular facilities fund.

“The new larger scope of the project will allow the district to build entire new sections for the school and will minimize disruption in student activities that would have taken place with the original interior renovation plan,” the district said.

The district has posted an animated video rendering of what the renovated school would look like on its Facebook page.

A board vote is expected on Dec. 11.
