Killeen: Anti-violence youth convention held

KILLEEN, Texas (KWTX) The communities of Dallas and Killeen came together Friday and Saturday to combat the issue of violence.

The Dallas based "No More Violence" held a convention in the city of Killeen for a youth convention.

Members from the community were encouraged to come out and learn ways to prevent violence.

"Violence is getting out of control," says Dallas teenager Antonisia Chambers.

"The crime rates are getting very big. I just feel like as youth we can stop it," she said.

A basketball game was also held between the Killeen Police Department and children to better connect the community.
