A security camera recorded video of a deadly weekend shooting outside of a Killeen nightclub, according to an affidavit released Wednesday.
Deandre Patrick Thomas, 41, of Killeen, was found lying on the ground with what the affidavit described as “multiple apparent gunshot wounds” after police responded at around 1:50 a.m. Saturday to a report of the shooting at the OBok Restaurant and Club at 2815 South Fort Hood St. in Killeen.
He died about an hour later at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center.
About 15 minutes after the initial call, officers found the suspect, Reginald Ferlandus Jackson, 45, in the area of Cantabrian Loop, the affidavit says.
They later found a .45 caliber handgun between the club and the site of the arrest, the affidavit says.
Jackson is charged with murder.
His bond was set at $500,000.
Video from the security camera shows Jackson and Thomas arguing at the front door of the club, the affidavit says.
“The suspect can be seen producing a handgun from his waist area and intentionally pointing the firearm at the victim and firing the weapon,” the affidavit said.
The suspect then walked off in the direction of Cantabrian Loop, the affidavit says.
“The victim is never seen holding any type of weapon,” the affidavit says.
