Hailey Cowan, 27, a 2010 Midway High School graduate and 2014 Baylor graduate, won the women’s flyweight division in the Legacy Fighting Alliance or LFA Friday night.

“It felt amazing to be able to go out in front of my own people, in my town and remind everyone that the big scary dreams are the ones worth chasing,” Cowen said.

The win brings the young fighter’s professional record to 3-1.

“All Hail” Hailey Cowan trains at Blitz Sport USA in Robinson.

She got her first professional win with a TKO in 1 minute and 9 seconds also at the Bell County Expo Center back in October.

It was the third fastest finish in the world out of all MMA events that week.

Cowan was a two time All-American on the Baylor acrobatics and tumbling team.

“I’m the most blessed girl in the whole world. How many people get to go to work and go to the office and have people cheering for them and pulling for them,” Cowan said.

“Hopefully I can keep representing Waco well. Stay tuned because we have a lot more coming.”
