Local deputies suffer minor injuries in scuffle with suspect

Two Limestone County deputies suffered minor injuries early Wednesday in a scuffle with a suspect.

The deputies responded at around 2:30 a.m. to a report of a disturbance.

“During the incident, the subject charged at, resisted and fought with the deputies. He was finally secured after several minutes of fighting and resisting,” the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post.

Groesbeck police assisted the deputies.
