Local high school band skips football game after members hurt in crash

The Copperas Cove High School band was absent from Cove’s home football game against Killeen High School Friday night after three of its members were injured in a crash earlier in the day, the district said in a tweet Friday evening.

A district spokeswoman declined to provide details.

The Department of Public Safety responded to the accident, but calls for information weren’t immediately returned.

“These families remain in our thoughts and prayers,” the district’s tweet said.
