HARKER HEIGHTS, Texas (KWTX) Lewis Charles Hall, Jr., 42, of Harker Heights, was in the Bell County Jail Monday charged with arson in connection with an incident in which a woman’s ex-boyfriend set her belongings on fire as she moved out of the home the two shared.

The woman moved out of the home in the 200 block of East Valley Road on July 24, placed her belongings in a small moving trailer, and then left to get a vehicle with which to tow it, police said.

When she returned several hours later she and her ex-boyfriend began to argue, police said.

He then poured gasoline on the trailer containing her property and set it on fire, police said.

Officers were sent to the home just before 2:10 p.m. on July 24 after receiving a report that a man was pouring gasoline in the area of his home.

Hall was arrested on July 27 in the 300 block of Randy Boulevard.

He has since been released on bond.
