Carlos Maurice Husband, 33, of Killeen, was indicted Wednesday for aggravated sexual assault of a child in a case involving a Killeen girl who’s now 10, who contracted an STD as a result of repeated sexual assaults
Husband remains in the Bell County Jail in lieu of $150,000 bond.
He was arrested in November after an investigation that started in late September.
The girl told a forensic interviewer at the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center that “Husband had touched her in her private area beginning when she was 8 years old,” the affidavit says.
A forensic examination by a sexual assault nurse examiner showed that the girl had contracted chlamydia, the affidavit says.
The girl told the SANE nurse that “it happened a ‘lot of times,’” the affidavit says.
Husband lived with the girl’s mother from April 2017 until May 2018, the affidavit says.
