A Connally Junior High School student was taken into custody after a message threatening a school shooting on Halloween was found written on a restroom wall.
The message read simply "1031 School Shooting."
A similar message found at Connally High School is under investigation, Connally ISD Human Resource Director Larry Cumby said.
The district says it will have additional law enforcement officers on campuses on Wednesday.
“Even though one arrest has taken place, our plans for additional presence of law enforcement officers have not changed,” district spokeswoman Candace Teele said.
Students will not be allowed to wear costumes of masks.
Messages about the threatening messages were sent to parents.
