A Central Texas woman died and another person was injured Sunday night when the pickup truck in which they were riding veered off a rural road outside of Waco and crashed into a tree.
The Department of Public Safety Monday identified the victim as Mary Harcrow, 64, of Whitney.
She was a front seat passenger in the Dodge Ram pickup, which was eastbound at around 8:45 p.m. on FM 185 near Cattle Drive east of Crawford when it left the roadway and hit the tree.
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in the rear seat of the truck was seriously injured and was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco in critical condition.
The driver, whose name was not released, was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Waco with what the DPS said were non-life-threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
