Man accused of strangling uncle indicted for murder
Coby James Sebesta, 25, of Waco, was indicted Wednesday for murder in the October 2018 death of his uncle, who, an autopsy showed, was strangled.
Sebesta remains in the Bell County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling more than $1 million.
The murder charge stems from the death of Mark Sebesta, 59, whom officers found after responding at around 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 28, 2018 to a report of a death at a home in the 1300 block of South 35th Street in Temple.
An autopsy was ordered and it showed that the cause of death was strangulation and the manner of death was homicide, police spokeswoman Ellen Morton said at the time.
Sebesta was served with the murder warrant in jail where he was already held on an unrelated Bosque County warrant charging unauthorized use of a vehicle.
He was booked into the Bell County Jail on Dec. 4.
