Police were searching for a suspect who they said robbed a Mickey's convenience store at knife-point early Wednesday morning.

Officers responded to the store at 3802 East Stan Schlueter Loop at around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The store clerk told police a black man wearing a red mask, dark jeans and a gray hooded sweatshirt entered the building and demanded money while holding out a large kitchen knife.

The suspect left on foot toward Chantz drive with an unknown amount of money.

There were no injuries.

Police said the store clerk told them there was one customer in the store at the time of the robbery, but they ran away when the suspect displayed the knife.

Officers will review surveillance footage of the incident.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-TIPS.
