Lacy Lakeview: Woman charged after boyfriend stabbed through leg
A woman is arrested after police say she stabbed her boyfriend through the leg with a knife.
Chrishonna Joiner, 19, has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Lacy Lakeview Police Chief John Truehitt says they found Joiner after her boyfriend went to be treated for the stab wound Sunday.
"It went through the entire calf of the leg, one side to the other," said Truehitt.
He said the boyfriend was "extremely uncooperative" at Lacy Lakeview Medical Plaza and didn't want to tell police who stabbed him.
"Officers wound up taking him to Hillcrest, and by identifying him there, they knew where he lived," said Truehitt.
The information led officers to the Northwind Apartments along the I-35 frontage road.
At first, Truehitt said the girlfriend claimed he'd showed up to the apartment with the stab wound already, but she later ended up telling the truth.
This is the third domestic violence arrest LLPD has made in less than a week.
"It's full moon time," said Truehitt. "All three of them were basically domestics that went bad."
Joiner was arrested at the hospital and transported to the McLennan County Jail.
She was released Monday after posting a $30,000 bond.
