A College Station man is dead after being hit by another vehicle as he was trying to put gas in his car.

Christopher Prince, 34, was hit by a Ford pickup truck overnight Thursday, the Department of Public Safety said.

Investigators say the Buick sedan Prince was driving ran out of gas and was left in the northbound lanes of State Highway 6.

Prince was attempting to put gas in his car when he was struck by the truck.

He was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in College Station where he later died from his injuries.
