MART, Texas (KWTX) John Lebkowsky, 38, who was arrested following a SWAT standoff in Mart that started after a disturbance during which a shot was fired at his girlfriend has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and assault causing bodily injury to a family member.

Lebkowsky remained in the McLennan County Jail Tuesday night in lieu of bonds totaling $51,500.

McLennan County deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance involving a gun at around 11:45 p.m. Saturday at a home in the 300 block of Oates Lane in Mart.

Deputies were told the suspect might be driving a green Lincoln Town Car, however, on the way to the residence a deputy stopped the vehicle and found the victim inside.

Officials say the victim told the deputy she was trying to leave the house after an argument when her boyfriend fired a round at her outside.

She was not injured.

When deputies arrived at the residence, they established a perimeter and tried to make contact with the suspect inside.

After attempts failed, the sheriff’s SWAT team was called to the scene and eventually forced entry into the home and arrested the suspect.

The suspected weapon was located inside the home and seized, as well as a spent shell casing outside, officials said.

Officials said they've been to this residence on multiple occasions for disturbances.

A protective order has been issued.
