COOLIDGE, Texas (KWTX) Limestone County deputies arrested a wanted man and recovered methamphetamine and counterfeit cash after a traffic stop Monday night at the Cool Stop convenience store in Coolidge.

The driver, Kevin Ray Thurman, 33, was named Limestone and Hill County warrants, authorities said.

Deputies arrested him and recovered the meth and counterfeit currency from the vehicle, authorities said.

They’re investigating whether the bogus bills are related to counterfeit cases in the county as well as in Wortham and Teague, authorities said.

Thurman was held Tuesday in the Limestone County Jail in lieu of bonds totaling $22,500 charged with theft of property over $100, but under $750, forgery of a government instrument and possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram.
