TROY, Texas (KWTX) Drivers are encouraged to find an alternate route after a 10 car wreck in the Northbound lanes near Pendelton Road in near Troy.
The wreck happened around 6:30 a.m. Monday morning, Temple Police Department Spokesperson Shawana Neely said.
She said one vehicle was disabled on either the left shoulder or left lane of the interstate when it was hit by another vehicle, which continued to cause the pile-up.
An 18-wheeler was one of the vehicles involved, Neely said.
One person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, Neely said.
One lane of traffic was moving slowly on the interstate and the access road is also backed up as crews work to clear the vehicles from the road.
As of 7:45 a.m. traffic was backed up past N. Loop 363 in Temple, according to TxDot.
Drivers are encouraged to take HWY 317 to avoid the highway and the delay.
