Savage Finds Antiques & Oddities plans to launch The Silo District Comedy Club in Waco on New Year's Eve.
"These are people that you see online or on TV all the time," says owner Joey MacArthur.
Savage Finds LLC said it will continue to operate its antique shop during the day and operate the comedy club on weekends.
One thing Joey and his wife Tami MacArthur noticed in talking with the public, was the lack of anything to do at night in Waco.
They believe this comedy club will fill that hole.
"Everybody needs to smile and everybody needs to laugh," says MacArthur.
"So whether you are working in the city and you need a break from everybody, or if you are visiting just for a while, this club is going to help everybody," he says.
The owners said its comedians are nationally known and have been featured on networks like Comedy Central, Showtime and CMT
The grand opening on New Year's Eve is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. at 324 S. 6th Street.
According to the club's event page, the event will feature comedians Landry and Cam Bertrand.
Tickets for the New Year's Eve grand opening are $59. There will be food catering from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Tickets to events on January 2nd and the 4th are $34.95.
The venue is BYOB.
