No arrests yet after weekend shooting at area nightclub

No arrests have been made after an early-morning shooting Sunday at a Mexia nightclub that left one injured.

Officers heard gunfire at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Club 84 on Milam Street.

The gunfire was continuous as they responded, police said in a Facebook post.

They found the victim lying in the club’s parking lot.

The male victim was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center in Waco in stable condition.

Several subjects of interest have been identified, however, no arrests have been made, police said.

The Mexia Police Department was assisted by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Groesbeck Police Department, Limestone County Sheriff’s Office and Mexia Fire & Rescue.
